YWCA leadership event will be at country club

YOUNGSTOWN — The YWCA Women’s Leadership Conference will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 15 at the Youngstown Country Club, 1402 Country Club Drive.

The topics that will be covered follow:

•Networking.

•Financial security.

•Legal concerns for small businesses.

•Credit management.

•Style show and shopping on a budget.

•Managing difficult people.

The keynote address will be “Gender Differences in the Workplace,” by Barbara J. Danforth, president and CEO of the YWCA of Greater Cleveland. Other speakers include Jennifer Betts, Fashion 360; Carmen Codjoe, Harrington Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd.; Chris Gabrick, Schroedel, Scullin & Bestic, CPAs; Traci Miller, The Growth Coach; Victor Russell, Consumer Credit Counseling Services; and Roy Thomas, RST Research.

Also featured will be a basket raffle, door prize, networking opportunities, chair massages, resource and vendor tables.

Entry fee is $30 per person and $10 for full-time students (please take I.D.) An early bird special offer of $25 ends April 30. Fee includes breakfast and lunch. Scholarships are available for those who qualify.

The conference may be eligible for continuing education credits for certain organizations. Certificates will be distributed at the event.
