CANTON — Winning pitcher Alex DiDominico (4-0) struck out four and walked 10 for the Spartans (5-0, 2-0 Federal League). Lizzie Padgitt’s four hits included two doubles. She scored a run and drove in three. Angela Martin’s two hits included a double. The Golden Eagles are 2-3, 0-2.

Ursuline 7, Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary 1

AKRON — Casey Lower tossed a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk for Ursuline (5-1). Malikka Caige had three hits, including a triple, and two RBIs while Miranda Carkido added two hits.

Youngstown Christian 15, Warren Harding 14

WARREN — Kaitlyn Vestal and Natalie Durkin each scored three runs for the Eagles (1-1). Katie Hartman had two hits, Ashley Gonda homered and Ceciley Sandy was the winning pitcher.

Poland 5, Westerville (Ohio) North 1

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Erin Gabriel struck out 10 and walked two, tossing a three-hitter to lead Poland in the Grand Strand Classic. Gabriel and Jordan Palumbo each added two hits and Palumbo had an RBI. Adriana Sikora tripled and drove in a run and Kara Pierce had two RBIs.

Struthers 5, Niles 1

NILES — Ellen Becker had two hits and two RBIs for Struthers (3-5). Ashley Baron struck out seven in tossing a four-hitter. Outfielder Jackie Deem made three diving catches in center and threw out a Red Dragon baserunner at home after tagging up at third on a flyout. Aubrey Hale struck out six and walked one for Niles.

Liberty 6, Beaver Local 2

LISBON — Breana Comer had two hits, including a homer, and two RBIs for the Leopards (2-1) while Elysam Reib singled and tripled. Alison House struck out three to get the win and also had a double at the plate.

Girard 12, Campbell 0

CAMPBELL — Lisa Holmes tossed a five-inning one-hitter. Melissa Weitzman’s two hits included a double. For the Red Devils (0-1), Amelia Pagan’s third inning single broke up the no-hitter.

Champion 11, Newton Falls 0

CHAMPION — Lindsay Swipas (3-0) struck out seven and did not walk a batter in pitching a five-hit shutout. Katie Saluga went 3-for-3 with two over-the-fence homers and four RBIs for the Flashes (5-0, 2-0 AAC Blue). Alison Sorber had two hits and four RBIs while Swipas had two hits. Blaine Chapman struck out six with three walks for Newton Falls (3-2).

Howland 6, Lakeview 2

CORTLAND — Abby Nicholas doubled to pace the Tigers (7-2). Lex Sidley and Raelynn Burns tripled for the Bulldogs (1-4).

Lowellville 8, Southern 1

SALINEVILLE — Winning pitcher Cori Pavlicko (3-3) tossed a two-hitter, striking out 13 and walking none. She also hit three doubles and drove in four runs. Brooke Pallozzi’s two hits included a double for the Rockets (3-3, 2-2 Inter Tri-County League Tier Two). Stephanie Gruber had two hits and scored twice. Also with two hits were Jackie Chiclowe and Gina Stouffer. For the Indians (3-4, 1-4), Brie Crum and Maddy Dowling singled.
