CANFIELD CITY
April 3
Bad check: The owner of Delfs Inc., 410 Lisbon St., reported a customer had written a bad check for $280.51, which cost the company an additional $30 in return fees. The owner had made several attempts to contact the customer without success. Police told the customer if payment was made in full, the case would be closed. The owner reported full restitution was made April 1.
April 6
Bad check: Nemenz IGA, 8 N. Broad St., reported a check written to the store was returned because it was written on a closed account.
Drug paraphernalia: The police department’s juvenile officer, working as school resource officer at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, discovered a suspected marijuana pipe made out of aluminum foil with suspected marijuana in the bowl and an odor of burnt marijuana in a car parked in the school parking lot. A bottle of clear liquid that appeared to be labeled “Smirnoff” was seen in the back seat.
Drug abuse: Police arrested a 40-year-old North Jackson woman on a charge of drug abuse after they found a marijuana cigarette in her car at Montgomery and Neff drives.
Possessing, concealing: A 24-year-old Berlin Center man was arrested at West Main Street and Cardinal Drive for possession of drug paraphernalia. Police found a pack of rolling papers, a silver and gold pipe containing suspected marijuana residue, a hose clamp, a pill bottle containing a razor blade and a plastic bag containing a white powder residue.
April 8
Drug abuse: A 21-year-old Newton Falls man was arrested on a charge of drug abuse after police found plastic bags containing about 3.5 grams of marijuana in them and the remains of two marijuana cigarettes in the ashtray of the car.

April 6
Theft: A Palm Pilot, 30 compact discs and $400 in cash were stolen from an auto in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: An in-dash compact disc stereo was stolen from an auto at King Kar Motors, 4125 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A woman stole a ring valued at $1,100 at the GoGo Cabaret, 5455 Clarkins Drive.
Burglary: A Playstation, games and shoes were stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: A woman is a suspect in a theft at a home in the 300 block of North Turner Road.
April 7
Theft: A cordless telephone was stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Recovered property: A Dynacraft power climber mountain bike was recovered at a home in the 4000 block of Kerrybrook Drive.
Telephone harassment: A secretary at Associated Accounting, 5402 Mahoning Ave., reported receiving harassing phone calls.
Aggravated robbery: Two people with handguns robbed a clerk at Check-N-Go, 1600 S. Raccoon Road, of an undetermined amount of cash and stole the employee’s cell phone.
Theft: About $80 in unauthorized charges were made to a debit account owned by a resident of Fox Run Apartments, 60 N. Raccoon Road.
Bad check: A woman paid for two sets of frames at Optiview, 6000 Mahoning Ave., with a check for $609.21, which was returned for insufficient funds. The woman had also written a bad check for $425 at the Optiview in Niles in February.
Telecommunications harassment: A man from the 1000 block of West Hampton Drive reported that he had received 75 text messages from a former friend, with whom he did not want contact.
Obstructing official business: A woman was released on a summons for obstructing official business at a home in the 4000 block of Lake Road.
April 8
Attempted theft: A woman attempted to steal a computer at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Menacing: A female resident of a home in the 4000 block of Crabwood Drive reported she was being threatened with physical harm by another woman.
April 9
Theft: A man was issued a summons for theft at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave., after attempting to steal tea bags, coffee creamer and a newspaper.
Drug offense: A Sharon man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at North Edgehill Avenue and Oakwood Avenue.
Theft: A National City ATM card was reported stolen at a home in the 3000 block of Nassau Court.
Theft: A rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot in the 9000 block of Compass West apartments.
Theft: Two juvenile girls were apprehended for theft at Wal-Mart and released to their parents.
Identity theft: A woman from the 900 block of Compass West apartments reported someone used her name, address and personal information to open an AT&T account for Internet services.
Burglary: Cash, pills and a compact-disc player were stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.
Theft: Three juveniles females stole $137 worth of makeup and food by putting the items in their purses at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave. The three were released to their parents, pending charges for theft.
Theft: A Youngstown woman was arrested for theft of $31.98 in merchandise at Wal-Mart and on drug charges for possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments, including a syringe.
Recovered property: A dart case and darts were recovered at Cosmo’s, 1722 S. Raccoon Road.
April 10
Recovered property: A debit card was recovered at Farmers National Bank, 22 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Burglary: A .357-caliber revolver was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of New Road.
Theft: A woman is a suspect in a theft at a home in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.
Telephone harassment: A man is a suspect in telephone harassment at a home in the 300 block of Rosemont Avenue.
April 11
Disorderly conduct: A man was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing official business at The Wedge, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.
Drug offense: A Warren man was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to comply in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Assault: A man and a woman were assaulted by another man and woman at McDonald’s, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road. The latter pair was issued a summons for criminal trespassing.
Telephone harassment: A woman reported being harassed by telephone at a home in the 100 block of South Aldrich Road.
Criminal damaging: The rear window of a vehicle was damaged at King Kar Motors.
Theft: A purse and contents were stolen at Wal-Mart.
Theft: Blu-ray DVDs were stolen at Hollywood Video, 5225 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was hit with eggs at a home in the 5000 block of Willowcrest Drive.
