Vandals damage Sharon High School stadium
SHARON, Pa. — Vandals with spray paint damaged the stadium and equipment at Sharon High School over the weekend, police report. Capt. Travis Martwinski said vandals jumped the fence and spray-painted vulgarities on the wall near the tunnel entrance to the stadium.
They also broke into a storage area next to the tunnel and spray painted a popcorn machine, refrigerator and freezer, goal post paddings and yard markers. They stole food from the freezer.
Police recovered one can of spray paint there. School maintenance worked all day Monday to clean up the damage, Martwinski said. There is no damage estimate yet, he said. School officials were not available Monday for comment.
