Two Easter weekend fires in Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN — Easter weekend fires caused damage to two Youngstown homes.
A small house fire was contained at 144 W. Philadelphia Ave. around 10 a.m. on Sunday. The fire was started when cigarettes were tossed out a window onto a pile of leaves causing an estimated $1,000 in damage, the fire report stated.
No one was injured in the blaze.
Crews were also called to a fire at 362 of E. Florida Ave. around 3 p.m. on Saturday. Damages are estimated at more than $6,000 in the house fire that may have been started by a child playing with a lighter, the report stated. No injuries were reported and crews were unable to locate the lighter in the burned debris.
