AUCTIONS
• Tri-Gold Prime Time Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will have its Chinese auction Saturday at St. Nicholas Social Hall, 764 5th St., Struthers. The doors will open at 12:30 p.m., and the drawings will begin at 3. Admission is $5, which includes a full sheet of raffle tickets and door prize entry. There will be light refreshments and items for all ages. Proceeds will go toward the chapter’s education program, which provides scholarships for women.
BINGO AND CARD PARTIES
• St. Stephen of Hungary Altar & Rosary Society has scheduled a Spring Fling Bingo and Card Party at 2 p.m. Sunday in the church social hall, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown. Security is provided. The cost is $5 and includes lunch and door prizes. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Also featured will be a special raffle and a 50-50 drawing.
• Sts. Peter & Paul Altar & Rosary Society has scheduled a bingo and card party from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the social hall, 421 Covington St., Youngstown. A light lunch will be served, and there will be plenty of prizes and a 50-50 raffle. Tickets are $2 for children and $4 for adults, and are available from any member or at the door.
NIGHTS AT THE RACES
• Knights of Columbus, Monsignor John J. Lettau 4th Degree Assembly 2596, will have a night at the races Saturday at the hall, 3505 Center Road, Poland. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and races start at 7:30. Complimentary refreshments will be included at the adults-only event, and there will be a 50-50 raffle.
SALES
• Columbiana First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave., will have a Trash & Treasure Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 23 and April 24, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 25, which is bag day; patrons pay $2 a bag or $5 for three bags. On April 23 and 24, there will be a bake sale table. Hot meatball subs and chili will be available to eat in or carry out all three days. Items for sale include kitchenware, home decor, holiday decorations, linens and bedding and more. The sale is sponsored by the Women’s Association. For more information, call (330) 482-2666.
• Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, will have a rummage sale on the following dates; May 7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (bake sale), May 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (half-price day) and May 9 from 9 a.m. to noon ($1-a-bag day). • Southington United Methodist Church Day Circle, state Route 305 at 534, Southington, will have a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 22. Available will be a lunch of homemade soup, sandwiches, beverages and dessert, and carryouts. Bag day will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 23.
• Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive, Boardman, will have its 53rd annual sale of used books and music in all categories. Sale hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 22 and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 23 and 24.
SPECIAL EVENTS
• St. Paul Altar Guild will sponsor a spring fling afternoon of bingo, cards, raffles, refreshments and door prizes at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church hall, state Route 170, New Middletown. Admission is $5.
TRIPS
• Canfield Republican Women’s Club is sponsoring a day bus trip on May 6 to Columbus. Featured will be a tour of the statehouse and lunch, an opportunity to sit in on House and Senate sessions, and a chance to talk to legislators.
