Area agencies plan joint fundraising event

JUST DUCKY: Plans have been completed for a day of activities, which will include a Duck Race fundraiser. NORTH LIMA — Evans Lake will be the setting May 30 for a day of activities for children and adults planned as a fundraiser by Potential Development Program For Autism, Help Hotline Crisis Center and the United Way .
Aqua Ohio will host the O’Charley’s Bass Classic that day as a benefit for United Way. The event will begin at 5 a.m. and will include a Fish and Fun kids event from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a Duck Race.
The corporate division of the Duck Race will start at noon, and the noncorporate division, at 12:30. Festivities will end with a weigh-in.
Proceeds from the Duck Race will help Potential Development Program to provide curriculum programs for students of the Special Needs Preschool and the School of Autism, and for Help Hotline Crisis Center to continue its 24-hour crisis lines operation.
Tickets can also be purchased during Community Day sales at Eastwood Mall and Sam’s Club in Boardman.
Individual Duck Race tickets are $5 each and corporate tickets are $50 (tax deductible). They will be available until May 24 at Potential Development, (330) 746-7641 or Help Hotline Crisis Center, (330) 747-5111.
