GARDEN CLUBS | This week's meetings announced

TUESDAY

• Moccasin will meet at 7 p.m. for a program on the Great Lakes by Robert Stanger. Hostesses will be Vickie Bell and Betty Kalan. Donations of toilet tissue and/or foods from Sister Jean’s list will be collected.

• New Bedford will meet at the church at 5:30 for a 6 p.m. trip to Sharon Lions Key Enterprise for the Blind, 1230 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon, Pa.

WEDNESDAY

• Mahoning Valley Rose Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens. Guest speaker will be Susan Schneider, an ARS Horticulture judge, who will speak on “Growing and Showing Floribundas and OGRs.” All rose growers are invited; beginners are welcome. New members are being accepted; dues are $15 per year. Senior citizens receive a discount. Refreshments will be served.

THURSDAY

• Coitsville will have a Scottish pastries dinner at 5 p.m.

• Johnny Appleseed will have a program on “Plants and Herbs” by Heather Connolly at 7:30 p.m. with Val Zurawick and Joan Gallitto as hostesses. The door prize will be by Pat Kubiac.

• Woodland will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the senior citizens room of the post office building.
