Senior Center activities

Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following: Monday, Men’s and Women’s Needlecraft Club at 8:30 a.m., Income Taxes at 9 a.m., yoga classes at 10, Cancer Support Group at 10. OSU Nutrition classes at 11 and bridge at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, oil painting at 10, computer class at 10 and noon, and digital club at 2; Wednesday, watercolor class at 10, Bereavement Support Group at 11, computer at 10 and noon, tai chi at noon, and 500 cards at 1 p.m.; Thursday, Watch Our Weight and Woodcarvers at 9 a.m., exercise at noon, line dancing at 1 p.m., and beginner line dancing at 2; and Friday, Income Taxes at 9 and Texas Hold’em at 1 p.m.

Special events include: Monday, minority cardiovascular program at 9 a.m., Tuesday, minority pain management program at 9 a.m., and annual art show from 1 to 3 p.m. The following fun days begin at 10 a.m.: Wednesday, Lake Milton; Thursday, Boardman; and Friday, Sebring.
