Museum Friends to meet

YOUNGSTOWN — The next meeting of the Friends of The Museum of Industry & Labor will be at 5 p.m. Monday at the museum, 151 W. Wood St.

The Friends is a communitywide committee organized to promote the museum and is open to the public. All are encouraged to join and preserve the area’s history.

North Star scholarships

Meeting scheduled for vision impaired

YOUNGSTOWN — Debbie Kogler, owner of Magnifiers and More, will be the featured speaker at the 10 a.m. Tuesday meeting of the Low Vision Support Group at Park Vista Retirement Community, 1216 Fifth Ave.

Easter Seals Walk With Me will be area fundraiser

BOARDMAN — Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties announces plans for the 5th annual Walk With Me event and fundraiser, scheduled for 9 a.m. May 2.

The 1 mile, 3K and 5K fitness walk and/or run will unite hundreds of area participants at Boardman Park’s Elton Beard Cabin to raise funds for Easter Seals services and promote awareness of issues affecting those with disabilities.

Martial arts donation

Students of Master Park Martial Arts International donated $2,600 in certificates to Humility of Mary Health Partners. More than $85,000 in services was donated in 2008, and more is planned. For more information, visit www.masterpark.com.
