Multi-Generational Center plans senior prom night

GIRARD — Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., will be the setting for its third annual senior prom night from 6 to 9 p.m. April 16. “Puttin’ on the Ritz” is the theme for the evening, which will feature dancing to the music from the 1930s to today as presented by DJ Cosmo.
There will be a 50-50 raffle and a Chinese auction of gifts donated by Clear Channel, Youngstown Symphony, Youngstown State University Athletic Department, Pepsi-Cola, Edible Arrangements, Daffin’s Candy and Open Me First. The auction will also include several themed baskets featuring such things as Cleveland Browns memorabilia, YSU keepsakes, Italian cuisine, angels, tea and coffee, Christmas items, and clothing for men, women and children.
Proceeds from the prom will benefit the center, a nonprofit organization, which promotes interaction between generations through education, health, fitness and socialization. Its purpose is to preserve and enhance the community.
