BOARDMAN — Pat O’Brien singled home Kevin McCulloh with the winning run in the last of the seventh inning for Boardman. McCulloh led of the seventh with a walk and advanced to third on a bunt and error on the same play. Eric Walters drilled a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning for Boardman to tie the game at 5-5. Joe Smith also belted a two-run homer for the Spartans (5-0, 1-0 FL). Mike Calautti had a double and single while O’Brien had two singles. O’Brien also got the mound win with a nine-hitter over the distance. Lake is 1-0 and 0-1.
Fitch 1, McKinley 0
AUSTINTOWN — Ricky Segesto singled home Nick Crum with the winning run in the last of the sixth inning for unbeaten Fitch in a Federal League game. Crum led off the sixth with a single, went to second on Jason Bagoly’s ground out and scored on Segesto’s single to break the scoreless deadlock. Crum finished with two singles for Fitch (4-0, 2-0).
Josh Foster (2-0) and reliever Segesto combined to pitch a seven-hitter with seven strikeouts for the Falcons.
Liberty 2, Campbell 0
LIBERTY — Freshman Jared Wiesen hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Leopards (1-1, 1-0 All-American Conference White). Winning pitcher Nate Fader doubled and scored on Wiesen’s homer. He struck out 10 Red Devils (0-1, 0-1) and walked two. Nicco Magnolia fired a four-hitter with 12 strikeouts for the Red Devils.
Ursuline 16, South Range 2
STRUTHERS — Wade Daniels had three hits and scored three runs for the Irish (2-1). He also drove home two runners. Dan Baco, Dave Rossi and Paul Kempe had two hits each.
For the Raiders (2-5), Chris Gause had a RBI single.
Struthers 10, LaBrae 2
STRUTHERS — Dylan Duchek pounded out three hits including a triple and drove in one run, while Tyler Serich added two hits including a double as Struthers rolled past LaBrae in six innings. Brian Palmer pitched the win allowing just four hits and he also doubled.
Hubbard 10, Brookfield 0
HUBBARD — Fifth-year coach Brian Bosheff’s senior-less team is making some noise early. Junior Bo Slemons had two doubles and three RBIs and junior Tim Schiraldi hit a double and had two RBIs for the Eagles (2-4). One of Schiraldi’s RBIs came on a fielder’s choice. Starter Dan Helsel, a junior, gave up two of Brookfield’s three hits before freshman reliever Zach Merrell allowed another. T.J. Hurst, Taylor Brooks and Andy Frantz had a single apiece for the Warriors (0-2).
Girard 13, Lakeview 7
GIRARD — Joe Cavalier had a double, single and four RBIs while Daniel Gainey had a double, two singles and two RBIs. A.J. Weibel two singles and two RBIs to pace Girard (2-1). Aaron Jennings and Tallen Birmingham each aded two singles for the Indians.
For Lakeview (0-3), Anthony Franco had a homer, double, single and three RBIs while Mike Pasternak had two singles. Youngstown Christian 12, East 2
YOUNGSTOWN — A 10-strikeout, four-hitter by junior Brian Richey. who faced 22 batters, led Youngstown Christian’s opener at Pemberton Park. The game ended in the bottom of the sixth with no outs after the Eagles scored four runs. Junior John Pecchia had four singles and three RBIs while junior Bobby Schmid had a double for Youngstown Christian. A. Mercado drove home a run for East (0-3)
Leetonia 12, Jackson-Milton 8
NORTH JACKSON — Nick Altomare had three hits and scored three runs for the Bears. Justin Colella had two hits, Jordan Lewis doubled and Lance Tullis was the winning pitcher.
For the Bluejays (0-4, 0-3), Joe Sarisky hit two doubles while Ryan Nagy had one.
Warren Harding 14, Sharon 4
WARREN — Senior Ben Penman and juniors Jay Rowland, Joe Sekula and Jordan Miller each had two hits for Harding (2-1). Senior Zach McGhee had seven strikeouts during a five-inning seven-hitter for the Raiders.
McDonald 7, Chaney 6
MCDONALD — Anthony Raschilla had a double, single and three RBIs to lead McDonald (4-0), which scored six runs in the fourth inning for a 7-2 lead. Mike Evinsky added a double and single for the Blue Devils. Dan Fanzo had a double and two singles for Chaney (0-3).

SEBRING — Brian Rossadivata doubled for the Rockets in the ninth inning of a game suspended because of darkness.
Ravenna 6, Southeast 3
RAVENNA — Nick Hull pitched the victory and also led the way with three hits including two doubles as Ravenna (4-2) toppled Southeast. Anthony Cianci had three hits including a double for the Pirates (1-3).

LISBON — Chris Gause had two doubles, one single and three RBIs while Phil Arsuffi had three singles and two RBIs to lead South Range in an Inter Tri-County League Tier One game Wednesday. For Lisbon (2-3, 1-2), Dustin Borg had a double, two singles and three RBIs and Aaron Sweeney three singles.
