ATHLETIC GROUPS

• Girard Golden Eagles will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St.

• Girard High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the high school.

• The McDonald Sideliners will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the high school.

AUXILIARIES

• K. of C. Ladies Auxiliary 4224 will have a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the K. of C. Hall on Center St. in Struthers. Members are asked to take three or four wrapped gifts for a Chinese auction. Hostesses are Linda Otto and Pat Mathews.

• St. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday at the private dining room. Speaking on “Robotic Surgery” will be Dr. Daniel Ricchiuti.

• Youngstown Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the F.O.E. 213 Club, 451 Miller St. There will be nomination of officers.

CLASSES

• Chaney High School January and June classes of 1948 will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Molly’s Restaurant on Salt Springs Road. All alumni are invited.

• Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1953 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Johnny’s. Guests are welcome.

• Casa Savoia will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rusty’s. Callers are Marie Lipinsky and Christine Botirius.

• Chapter CE of the PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield for a noon lunch and meeting. The program will be Founder’s Day. Hostesses and speakers are Ginny Gasteen and Barb Jaster.

• Trumbull County Travelers had its April meeting at Panera Bread with 48 members present. The upcoming motor coach trip to Pennsylvania was discussed. Members invite anyone over age 18 to join them on April 29, when they will travel to Riverside Inn for lunch and to see the live performance of “A Weekend Comedy.” Four tickets remain at the cost of $58 per person. • Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled the following meetings: Evening Cut Ups at 7 p.m. Monday at Grace Church of Nazarene, 5253 W. Webb Road, Austintown, for work with beginning sewers; Fancy Cutters at 10 a.m. Monday at Lake Vista, 303 N. Mecca St., Cortland, for a ricrac flower demonstration; Austintown Stitch and Share at 10 a.m. Thursday at Humility House, 755 Ohltown Road, Austintown, for a pattern design demonstration; Material Girls at 6 p.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 490 N. High St., Cortland, to work on Spring Extravaganza favors.

• Western Reserve Knitting Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park in Canfield. Members are to take their “Shawl Challenge” for a group show-and-tell.

LIBRARY FRIENDS

• Friends of the Austintown Library will meet at 10 a.m. April 20. The speaker will be Virginia Minick, author of “Desperately Seeking Humor.” Minick will highlight her experiences as a substitute teacher. The Friends group meets every third Monday in Austintown, and meetings are open to the public. Refreshments will be served before the business meeting begins.

• Friends of the Boardman Library will meet Monday at St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. Those attending are to use the back door entrance. The social will be at 9:30 a.m. in the basement area, and the program will be at 10 a.m. upstairs in the church area. Dr. Ronald Gould will provide organ music based on compositions from the baroque era. New members and guests are welcome. No reservations required. Hostesses will be Bette Dunn, Patricia Spisak and Erma Tarantino.

POLITICAL CLUBS

• Warren Republican Women’s Club will meet at noon May 7 at DiLucia’s Restaurant, Elm Road, Warren. The speaker will be Lisa Kayes, eastern regional liaison for State Auditor Mary Taylor.
