Mahoning Co. deputy sheriff indicted for permitting drug abuse

YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County deputy sheriff has been indicted by the county grand jury on a single count of permitting drug abuse at her South Side residence.

After the case was directly presented to the grand jury, the indictment was returned today against Deputy Angela Eaddy, 53, of 56 Garfield St., who has worked for the county for nine years and was most recently assigned to road patrol.

The fifth-degree felony charge, which carries a possible prison term of six months to a year, says the deputy knowingly permitted her residence to be used by someone else to commit a felony-level drug offense March 31.
