Charges dismissed in fraud, theft case
STAFF REPORT
WARREN — Charges have been dismissed against Tony L. Pascale, 56, of Logan Gate in Liberty, who was accused along with his wife of committing insurance fraud, telecommunications fraud and theft in late 2007.
Deena DeVico, an assistant Trumbull County prosecutor, said the charges were dropped because a witness has had medical problems that affected her memory of the offenses.
Pascale’s wife, Gina M. Pascale, 53, also of Logan Gate, pleaded no contest to attempted telecommunications fraud, a misdemeanor, last month and awaits sentencing.
She could get up to six months in jail.
DeVico said she cannot discuss the nature of the allegations against Gina M. Pascale until after she is sentenced.
