Best TV tonight

“Parks and Recreation” (8:30 p.m., NBC): Advance word on “Parks and Recreation” has been a little shaky, but we have high hopes for the sitcom because 1). It comes from the people who made “The Office,” and 2). It stars Amy Poehler, who really cracked us up during her “Saturday Night Live” days.

“Harper's Island” (10 p.m., CBS): Turns out that “Lost” isn’t the only show with a creepy little atoll. On “Harper’s Island,” a wedding party goes horribly awry when a killer starts knocking off one guest per episode. The mystery is scheduled to play out over 13 weeks.

“Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire” (10 p.m., Comedy Central): An odd band of adventurers strikes out against an evil chancellor in this comedy-action series.
