WEDNESDAY
• Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve the last Lenten breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. A freewill offering will be accepted.
• Vienna Amvets Post 290 is having its annual bake sale today from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the post, 290 Youngstown-Kingsville Road SE, Vienna. Cookies, pies, breads, cakes, brownies and candy will be for sale. Proceeds go to the ladies auxiliary, which raises funds for St. Jude’s, scholarships, military members at home and overseas, and much more. Donations may be sent to the above address and are greatly appreciated.
THURSDAY
• Calvary United Methodist Church, corner of state Route 164 and 165, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Meals include baked chicken, dressing, baked potato, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. Drive up to the door and someone will bring your dinner to your car.
• Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., Warren, will have an all-you-can-eat pancake, sausage and fruit dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost is $6, and proceeds will benefit mission projects. For more information call the church at (330) 372-1676 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
• VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 8 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carry-outs are $6.25.
FRIDAY
• American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, will have an all-you-can eat fish fry featuring macaroni and cheese, fries, coleslaw, dessert and beverage from 4 to 7. The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Takeouts available. For more information call (330) 482-9657.
• Cardinal Mooney Baseball Program will have its annual fish fry at Cardinal Mooney High School, 2545 Erie St. Baseball players will serve dine-in or carry-out meals of breaded or baked fish, macaroni and cheese, haluski, coleslaw, roll, cake and coffee. The cost is $9. Advance tickets can be purchased at the school office, at A&C Southway Beverage on South Avenue, by contacting Jim Jablonski at (330) 519-2950, or from any baseball player. Tickets will be available at the door until dinners are sold out.
• Girard Eagles will have a Good Friday fish fry from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the hall, 26 W. Wilson Ave., Girard. Deep fried or baked fish, baked potato or french fries, tossed salad or coleslaw, macaroni and cheese or pirogi (choice of two sides) are available. Pie is for dessert. Cost is $8 for a large dinner; $6.50 for a small. Carry-outs are welcome; call (330) 545-6619 to have your dinner waiting for you. At the end of the evening, an Easter basket will be raffled.
• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Peter and Paul Croatian Catholic Parish, 421 Covington St., is sponsoring a Lenten fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include fries or macaroni and cheese or haluski, coleslaw or applesauce, roll, and coffee or water. • Girard City Survivors Relay for Life Team is taking orders for Molnar’s sweets. Full-size pumpkin rolls are $10, and a half roll is $6; cinnamon rolls are $3, or a six-pack of petites for $7.50; nut, apricot and poppyseed kolachi are $10 each; pecan topping is 75 cents and vanilla and maple frostings are 25 cents. • Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church, 626 Wick Ave., is taking orders for Easter candy.
