WARREN — After a 90-minute meeting, the city administration and Police Chief John Mandopoulos have reached an “agreement in principle” on punishment for the chief, but the details won’t be revealed until later today.
Doug Franklin, safety-service director, said the attorney for Mandopoulos, Danny Thomas of Warren, and the law department for the city must still finalize the language in the agreement and obtain signatures on the document before details will be released.
When the signatures are on the agreement, the parties will release a joint statement, Franklin said.
The meeting was moved from City Hall to Thomas’ law office on Pine Street Northeast at around 11 a.m. The meeting ended around 12:30 p.m. today
