BINGO, CARD PARTIES
• Trap, Neuter, Release of Warren is sponsoring a Vendor Bingo on Saturday at Crest Lanes Bowling Alley, 3390 Youngstown Road S.E., Warren. Admission is $3 and includes one bingo card and a chance to win a door prize. Additional cards are $1 or a donation of supplies such as cat food or litter, toys and other cat care items. FLEA MARKETS
• Camelot Lanes’ Grand Prix Scholarship Parents will sponsor a flea market and craft sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 24 at Camelot Lanes, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road. Vendors have until April 18 to reserve a parking space for $10. There will be a small additional charge for space with electricity. • Newton Falls United Methodist Church, 336 Ridge Road, is having an inside flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 18. Food will be available at the kitchen. • The Youngstown Saxon Club has planned a Spring Flea Market and Luncheon for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the club ballroom, 719 S. Meridian Road. Attractions include household goods, clothing, tools, antiques, collectibles and children’s items. At 1 p.m., shoppers can fill at plastic bag for $1 each (except jewelry). Lunch will be available after 11 a.m., including takeouts. Menu items include hot dogs, German sauerkraut, sausage sandwiches, chips, coffee, soft drinks and dessert. Also available is the Saxon’s own chicken dumpling soup. Containers for takeout will be available. Proceeds benefit the memorial island fund.
SALES
• Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ReStore carries a wide variety of furniture, including a large selection of couches and many large metal professional office desks; used building materials such as doors, windows, sinks, hardware and plumbing; lighting; home decor items; large and small appliances; electronics; toys; books and much more. All items are sold at low discount prices. ReStore takes donations and sells to the public, all to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program. • Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, will have a rummage sale on the following dates; May 7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (bake sale), May 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (half price day) and May 9 from 9 a.m. to noon ($1-a-bag day). • Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive, Boardman, will have its 53rd annual sale of used books and music in all categories. Sale hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 22, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 23 and 24.
TRIPS
• Coitsville Fire Auxiliary is sponsoring a bus trip April 24 to Seneca Allegheny Casino. The cost is $35 prepaid. There will be a $20 token and $5 for food on arrival. For reservations, contact Sandy Morelli (330) 534-2552.
• Trumbull County Travel Club is inviting anyone over 18 years of age to travel with the club on two one-day excursions in April. On April 15 there will be a trip to Ferrante’s Lakeview Inn in Greensburg, Pa., for a luncheon, followed by a performance by Cahal Dunne. The outing will cost $79 per person. On April 29 the trip will be to the Riverside Inn in Cambridge Springs, Pa., for lunch, a performance of “A Weekend Comedy” and tour of the inn. The cost is $58 per person. SPECIAL EVENTS
• Youngstown Optimist Club will have a wine tasting from 7 to 10 p.m. April 24 at the Saxon Club Ballroom, 710 S. Meridian Road. There will be at least 24 wines to taste, hors d’oeuvres, door prizes and a Chinese auction. Music for listening or dancing will be provided by a disc jockey. The donation will be $30. Proceeds will benefit Optimist youth programs.
• OSU Master Gardeners has planned the 4th annual Springtime at the Garden from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9 on the grounds of Trumbull County Agricultural and Family Education Center, 520 W. Main St., Cortland. Free garden programs will take place throughout the day. Area crafters, antique and collectible dealers, herbalists, garden art vendors and civic organizations are invited to participate.
