Mr. and Mrs. Tom Menelle observe their 50th wedding anniversary

GIRARD — The 50th anniversary of their April 11, 1959, wedding was observed Saturday by Mr. and Mrs. Tom Menelle, 1425 Marlane Drive.

The couple exchanged nuptial vows on that date at St. Anne Church in Youngstown. They are members of St. Anthony Church, Youngstown.

Their family includes Teresa and Jim Kinney of Youngstown, Marie and Jim Standohar of Girard, Lori and Rodd Meyer of Southington, Tom Jr. and Renee Menelle of Warren, and 10 grandchildren.

Mrs. Menelle, the former Marie (Babe) Giampietro, was a nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital until 1960, when she became a stay-at-home mother. She has been a member of a card club for 55 years.

Mr. Menelle served with the U.S. Army and was a manager at various Sparkle Markets prior to retiring in 2000. Since then he has worked part-time at the Kmart Distribution Center.
