Broncos agree to trade Cutler to Bears
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos traded disgruntled quarterback Jay Cutler to the Chicago Bears.
The terms hadn’t been announced by the team, but a source said the Broncos would receive two first-round draft picks, a third-rounder and quarterback Kyle Orton in return for Cutler and a fifth-round draft pick this year.
The Broncos get the Bears’ top pick in this year’s draft, which is No. 18 overall, and Chicago’s first-round draft pick in 2010 along with a third-round selection this year (No. 84 overall).
Cutler had asked for a trade last month after his relationship with new coach Josh McDaniels soured over his talks with other teams about trading his rocket-armed passer.
Bears, Pace agree to 3-year deal
CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears agreed to a three-year deal with free agent Orlando Pace on Thursday, adding a seven-time Pro Bowl tackle to their offensive line on the same day they acquired quarterback Jay Cutler in a trade with Denver.
Released by the Rams three weeks ago in a move to clear $6 million in cap room, the 33-year-old Pace joins a team that suddenly has a different look on offense after going 9-7 and missing the playoffs for the second straight year. The Bears have a Pro Bowl quarterback they craved in Cutler, to go with promising young players such as tight end Greg Olsen and running back Matt Forte.

The Revolution are 2-0 but Ralston missed those road games with a strained thigh muscle. He hopes to play Saturday night in the home opener against FC Dallas.
