Relay for Life to benefit from sale of sweets

GIRARD — Girard City Survivors Relay for Life Team is taking orders for Molnar’s sweets.

Full-size pumpkin rolls are $10, and a half roll is $6; cinnamon rolls are $3, or a six-pack of petites for $7.50; nut, apricot and poppyseed kolachi are $10 each; pecan topping is 75 cents and vanilla and maple frostings are 25 cents. Pickup will be 8 a.m. to noon Saturday and April 11 at 75 S. Turner Road, Austintown. Order by calling (330) 793-6904 or (330) 501-7551.

All proceeds will benefit Relay for Life.

Last pirogi, haluski sale

SEBRING — St. Ann Church, 323 S. 15th St., is having its final Lenten pirogi and haluski sale today. Lunch, dinner and carry-outs will be served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Pirogi is $6 a dozen, haluski is $1.75, and there will also be soup and apple fritters for sale. To order, call (330) 938-9678.

Pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt

VIENNA — Vienna Fish and Game Club will have a pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday on the club grounds just north of the entrance to the Youngtown-Warren Regional Airport on state Route 193.

Cost for the breakfast is $4 for adults and $2 for children under 10 and includes pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee.

Ukrainian Egg Festival

SHARON, Pa. — The 20th annual Ukrainian Egg Festival will be from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Billy’s Black and Gold, 514 Sharpsville Ave. Ethnic foods, crafts and hundreds of decorated eggs will be available. There will be a Chinese auction and participants will learn how to decorate pysanka.

Admission is free. The event is a benefit for St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Clark Street.

Good Friday breakfast at New Castle YMCA

NEW CASTLE, PA. — New Castle Community YMCA is inviting the public to a Good Friday breakfast at 8 a.m. April 10. The event includes a full breakfast and music by Anthony Geramita of Lawrence County Chiropractic.

The guest speaker will be Jon Pickens, pastor of student ministries at First Baptist Church and lead singer and rhythm guitar player with Whetstone, a local contemporary Christian band.
