Signature Fitness sets ribbon-cutting ceremony

BOARDMAN — Signature Fitness & Health Center will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. today at its new location at 7120 Tiffany Blvd., the spot of the former Club South. The day’s events will include tours of the facilities and giveaways of thousands of dollars in prizes and memberships. The owners of the club are Andrea and Clark Leonard.

YSU event to feature robotics contest director

YOUNGSTOWN — Bill Miller, national director for the FIRST Robotics Competition, will speak Monday at Youngstown State University about the competition that is designed to help high school students learn about engineering and research.

The program will be in Room 2400 of Moser Hall from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The program is free, but reservations are required by contacting Julie Michael Smith, chief development officer of the Youngstown Business Incubator, at jmsmith@ybi.org or (330) 259-7644. The event is sponsored by Innovation Series, a networking and educational forum.

Dawn Inc. opens office for bill audits in Warren

WARREN — Dawn Inc., part of Environmental Waste Solutions, has opened an office at 1352 Springwood Trace S.E. Environmental Waste Solutions is a network of associates who audit solid-waste-disposal bills for area businesses. The audits look for errors and overcharges.
