Man accused of sexual assault at drive-through is free on bond
STAFF REPORT
WARREN — Imad M. Elsayed, the Austintown man accused twice of sexually assaulting young women while working at Big Daddy’s Drive Thru on Niles-Cortland Road in Howland, is free on bond.
Elsayed, 43, of Deer Creek Court, waived a preliminary hearing Thursday before Judge Thomas Gysegem in Warren Municipal Court and was released on the $15,000 bond he had posted in early March.
Judge Gysegem bound over the charge of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony punishable by up to 18 months in prison upon a conviction, to a Trumbull County grand jury.
Judge Gysegem also set a condition of bond that Elsayed stay away from the drive-through.
Elsayed had been in Trumbull County Jail since he was arrested March 26 when he was accused of reaching through the window of a 19-year-old Cortland woman’s car and groping her when he returned to her car with merchandise.
Elsayed faces another gross sexual imposition charge after being accused sexually assaulting a 19-year-old Vienna woman in the drive through Feb. 24.
In that incident, Elsayed told the woman to get out of her car and get her cigarettes in the office, where he sexually assaulted her, said Detective Nick Roberts of the Howland Police Department.
