Game of hope \ At a glance


What: Game of Hope, a charity flag football game featuring area high school football coaches, community leaders and local personalities. When: 4 p.m. Saturday Where: Chevrolet Centre Tickets: Start at $13, which covers the game, the tug-of-war between local prep athletes and that night’s Thunder game against the Milwaukee Iron. Proceeds: Benefit the Ava Timko Fund (which benefits a 1-year-old Canfield resident fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia) and the Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley (which serves chronically/terminally ill chilren). Note: Other events include a $5 halftime football toss, raffles, a 50/50 raffle and a halftime giveaway. Team mascots Scrappy, Boomer and the Thunder dance team will appear.
