March 30
Theft: A Patricia Drive woman reported her wallet missing from her residence.
Assault: Officers received a 911 call and learned that an East Main Street woman had twice been struck in the face, resulting in the arrest of a 44-year-old Girard man. She had swelling in the affected area.

Burglary: A South Davis Street woman found a damaged screen and broken window near a rear door after someone had entered and removed from a bedroom an Xbox 360 game system, Guitar Hero and other video games, and a cell phone.

March 27
Assault: A Youngstown-Hubbard Road woman told authorities her son had been assaulted at school.
Breaking and entering: A Hubbard man faced charges of theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespassing after a report of someone entering a neighbor’s garage and Honda vehicle.
Assault: A Franklin Avenue woman reported her 14-year-old son was assaulted on a school bus while on his way home.
Theft/drugs: A woman and a man, both of Masury, were arrested after police responded to a shoplifting situation at Devine’s Shop ‘n’ Save, 529 N. Main St. The man was charged with receiving stolen property, complicity to theft and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia; the woman’s charges were two counts of possession of drugs and one count each of theft and receiving stolen property.
Fraud: An East Liberty Street woman reported what she believed were fraudulent checks sent to her by a female in Nigeria, who asked the accuser to cash the checks and send her part of the money.
Identity theft: A Doris Drive man discovered someone had gained access to his e-mail account.

Arrest: The Girard Municipal Court issued a warrant for a township man accused of failing to appear for trial.

Recovered property: A motorist reported having accidentally backed into a vehicle in the 600 block of East Liberty Street. Police determined the car had a stolen license plate.

March 27
Theft: A Lucretia Drive man reported a $240 stereo/compact-disc player stolen from his car.
Criminal damaging: A Hadley Avenue woman returned from vacation to see that someone had written on her residence.
Arrest: Officers took custody of a Frederick Street man, 25, wanted on a warrant from the township.
Criminal damaging: Police responded to a dispute in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive, where they arrested a Youngstown man, 41, wanted on a charge.
Theft: A Girard man told police someone had siphoned about 120 gallons of diesel fuel from his semi truck.
Assault: A charge was pending against a 15-year-old male patient at Belmont Pines Hospital, 1615 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, who was accused of tossing a bottle of rubbing alcohol at an employee’s feet, then grabbing the worker around the neck. The employee had confronted the boy about contraband in his room, a report showed.

Arrest: Weathersfield police had issued a warrant against a 45-year-old Youngstown man, who was arrested during a traffic stop near Goldie Road. He also faced several traffic charges.
Burglary: Someone broke into a home in the 50 block of Euclid Boulevard via a rear door, ransacked several rooms and removed a high-definition TV and money.

Recovered property: While on patrol near Tanglewood Drive and Logan Avenue, police saw a car in the road with its lights on, then determined the Ford vehicle had been stolen in Farrell, Pa.
Theft/criminal damaging: An employee of a Belmont Avenue eatery reported a driver’s-side window to her vehicle had been broken. Stolen was a $115 stereo/CD player.
Criminal damaging: A woman said a 45-year-old acquaintance deliberately broke a window near an entrance to her apartment complex.
Assault A township woman alleged a 21-year-old Youngstown woman pushed her, then used a piece of broken glass to slash the accuser’s left arm during a fight.

Theft: A $7,500 motorcycle belonging to a Glendale, Ariz., woman was stolen near state Route 193 and Tibbetts-Wick Road.
Identity theft: An elderly Naylor-Lloyd Road man told police of receiving calls relating to past-due accounts. After conducting an online credit report, the man found two fraudulent accounts, one each by someone in Akron and Cambridge, Maine, a report said.
