Johns-Denovchek wedding to be June 17 in Mexico

CORTLAND — The engagement of Christine Lynn Johns and Gregory Anthony Denovchek, both of 244 Stahl Ave., and plans for their upcoming marriage, are being announced by her parents, Jeff and Mary Johns, 4282 Everett Hull Road.

Jeff and Patty Denovchek, 2485 Edgewater Drive, are parents of the future groom.

The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a destination wedding they have planned for June 17 at Riviera Maya, Mexico. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and for a celebration of the marriage that will take place Aug. 8 at Maffit Meadows in Bazetta.

The bride-elect graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She is employed by Comprehensive Children and Family Services in Sharon, Pa.

The prospective groom, a teacher with Mathews Local Schools in Fowler, graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.
