Restaurant lets patrons pay whatever they want

HERMITAGE, Pa. — Want to go out to dinner tonight, but the economy has taken a bite out of your entertainment budget?

You could check out Sghetti’s Italian Bistro’s new deal: Pay whatever you think your meal is worth.

That’s no April Fool’s joke. The deal starts tonight during dinner hours, beginning at 4 p.m., and owner Eugene Razzano has pledged to commit to it on a week-by-week basis.

That way, he says, people can afford to eat out again.

Sghetti’s, at 3200 South Hermitage Road (Pa. Route 18 near Route 60) has a nice atmosphere, with a cozy dining room, a lounge and a large dance floor.

You’ll pay full price for alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and you should still expect to tip your server.
