More gunplay reported in Warren

WARREN — Gunplay continued for a fourth day in the city Tuesday, as two city men reported being confronted by two other city men in the parking lot of the Convenient Mart, 1650 Youngstown Road S.E.

Police were called to the area at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday by two men, one of whom said he was pistol-whipped and the other who said shots were fired into the car in which he was sitting.

The trouble began, a Warren police report said, when the two alleged victims and a third man went to the store to buy beer and pulled along side another vehicle.

Two women were inside, and two men were outside talking to the women.

One of the two alleged victims, a 41-year-old man, got out of his car and was confronted by the two men talking to the females and was accused of looking at the females.

When another man from the car, a 32-year-old, got out and tried to calm down the situation, he was pistol-whipped and knocked to the ground while a 28-year-old man remained in the car.

The alleged assailants then fired guns into the car and fled. The gunshots didn’t hit anyone, police said.

No arrests have been made.
