You do not need a reason to vote early.

Those wanting to vote early can do so in person by going to their county board of elections office.

To register to vote, you must provide the last four digits of your Social Security number; driver’s license number; or a valid Ohio driver’s license, state identification card, a government ID card that shows a photo, name and address; or a copy of a current utility bill, cell phone bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check, or other government document that shows the voter’s name and current address. The deadline to register to vote is next Monday.

To vote, a registered voter must provide the same identification as required to register to vote, as listed above.

Those voting absentee can mail their ballots to their county board of elections beginning today. Those deciding to vote absentee can obtain a form requesting an absentee ballot from the secretary of state's Web site, http://www.sos.state.oh.us/; or from your county elections board.

Mahoning County Board of Elections at 2801 Market St. in Youngstown will open at 8 a.m. today. The elections boards in Trumbull and Columbiana counties will open at 8:30 a.m. today. The Trumbull board is at 2947 Youngstown Road S.E. in Warren. The Columbiana board is at 41 N. Park Ave. in Lisbon. They all close at 4:30 p.m. Mahoning and Trumbull will extend hours and be open on weekends beginning next Tuesday, the day after the voter registration deadline. Their hours will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays through Nov. 4, Election Day
