I-680 Market Street ramp closes Friday

YOUNGSTOWN — The Interstate 680 southbound exit ramp to Market Street northbound to downtown Youngstown will be closed starting 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3.

The exit will be closed until 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6 due to bridge painting.

Motorists can use a detour route which will be I-680 southbound to state Route 7 to U.S. Route 422 eastbound to Wick Avenue.

The bridge painting is part of a $2.4 million project to re-deck and paint the Market Street bridge over I-680, according to The Ohio Department of Transportation.

The entire project should be completed by May 2009.
