Help available for paying home heating costs

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership will be scheduling appointments, beginning Oct. 27, for the Home Energy Assistance Winter Crisis Program through its Interactive Voice Response system. Potential applicants must call to make an appointment prior to coming in to complete an application. The 24 hour/7day a week toll-free number is (866) 223-1125. A limited number of walk-ins will be taken from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. for individuals whose service has already been disconnected and for customers with less than 10 day supply of bulk fuel.
