Games of the week: Monday — Fitch girls vs. Cardinal Mooney at Valley Sports in Struthers, 7 p.m. (Both have been in our Top 10 all season); Salem girls at Howland, 7 p.m. (Combined the two schools are 16-1-5); Tuesday — Howland boys at Canfield, 7 p.m. (They tied 1-all on Sept. 9); Wednesday — Massillon Perry girls at Fitch, 7 p.m. (There’s no easy soccer matches in the Federal League); Thursday — Poland at Canfield in a doubleheader (The sectional-district seeding is coming soon; these games should have a bearing); Saturday — Columbus St. Francis DeSales boys vs. Cardinal Mooney at Valley Sports in Struthers, 7 p.m. (DeSales is ranked No. 1 in Ohio and is still hurting from its 2-1 OT loss to Mooney in the 2002 state title game); Howland girls at West Branch, 3 p.m. (Our top-ranked Tigers go out of conference for a tough opponent).
