Learning events for kids set at DeYor

YOUNGSTOWN — “Ghosts and Goblins,” the first in a series of interactive learning programs for children, sponsored by the Youngstown Symphony Guild, will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 25 at the DeYor Performing Arts Center.
Children attending the event are invited to come in costume. Youngstown Symphony Orchestra Tiny Tot performer Sally Williams and double bassist Jeffrey Bremer will present a concert in Ford Family Recital Hall as part of the program.
Titled Child’s Play, the series is geared toward children 3 and older who are accompanied by an adult. Each Child’s Play event will feature educational activity centers, lunch and musical entertainment.
In addition to “Ghosts and Goblins,” future events will include brunch with Santa on Dec. 6 and Fantasy and Fairy Tales on Feb. 7. All sessions begin at 11 a.m. at the DeYor Performing Arts Center and conclude by 2 p.m.
Tickets are available for single events or the entire Child’s Play series package. The cost to attend all three events is $60 per adult and $30 per child. Series ticket holders will be guaranteed seating at each event. Tickets to single events are $25 per adult and $15 per child. Call the box office at (330) 744-0264.
