Hubbard water customers under boil alert

HUBBARD— Hubbard residents are under a boil notification after a large water main break.

The break occurred on the 100 block of Erie Street just after 9 p.m. Sunday.

Patrick Camuso, foreman for the water department, said the break happened due to the age of the pipe-line, and the situation was under control by approximately 11 p.m. Sunday.

“The biggest problem we had was a loss of pressure due to the size of the line that broke,” he said.

As a precaution, residents are asked to boil any water they use to cook with or drink through Wednesday.
