Attempted robbery suspect arrested

YOUNGSTOWN — A 17-year-old East Lucius Avenue boy was arrested after a delivery employee for the Main Moon Restaurant identified him as one of the suspects involved in an attempted robbery Sunday evening.

The employee said he pulled into a driveway in the 300 block of East Ravenwood Avenue with a food order but decided to back out because the place looked vacant. He was then approached by two suspects, one of whom put a gun to his head and demanded his “stuff.” The employee kept on driving and called police.

Officers found two teenagers on East Ravenwood matching the suspects’ description but police let one go around 9 p.m. because, at the time, they hadn’t located the victim to make an identification.

The suspect who was detained and eventually arrested on an aggravated robbery charge had been wanted by juvenile court in an unrelated matter.
