Youngstown Christian rolls, 39-8
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS — The Youngstown Christian High School football team scored points in every quarter in Saturday’s 39-8 victory over Lutheran East in an East Suburban League contest.
Marqueal Smith of the Eagles (4-2, 2-0 ESL) rushed for 158 yards on 15 carries, which included a a 16-yard touchdown run.
Pat Durkin caught TD strikes of 34 and 5 yards from John Pecchia.
Pecchia caught a 25-yard TD pass from Victor Shaw.
In the fourth quarter, Quintan McKenzie caught a 12-yard TD pass from Jimmy Escalante for the Falcons (0-6, 0-2).
Pecchia completed 4-of-7 passes for 112 yards while Durkin caught three passes for 82.
Shaw returned an intercepted pass 46 yards that set up a TD. Smith and Durkin each intercepted a pass.
