Mayors to be guest speakers at Freedom Fund Banquet
YOUNGSTOWN — “Success Is Not a Destination, It’s a Journey” is the theme the Youngstown Branch of the NAACP has chosen for its 99th Freedom Fund Banquet.
The event has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 10 and will take place at Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St., Girard.
Guest speakers for the evening will be Glenn Holmes, mayor of the Village of McDonald, and Jay Williams, mayor of the City of Youngstown. As representatives of local metropolitan areas, they will discuss the vital roles needed by labor, government and industry in furthering the universal goal of bringing entire communities together.
Tickets for the banquet are $30 per person. Ads to be placed in the souvenir book must be submitted by Monday.
