KHALEN QUINN MICHAEL FERRANTO

• ANTIGUA, W.I. — A postnuptial reception on Aug. 29 at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens, Youngstown, honored Michael Ferranto and his bride, the former Khalen Sands Quinn, both of Manchester, Conn., who were married June 28 on the island of Antigua in the British West Indies.

Parents of the bride are Kris Sands of Ballston Spa, N.Y., and Tom Sands of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and the groom is a son of Mary Lou Gemma Ferranto of Tuscany Court, Poland, and Joseph Ferranto, Tara Drive, Poland.

The bride’s strapless gown featured an empire waist and was enhanced with crystal beading. She wore tropical flowers in her hair.

Honor attendants were the bride’s sisters, Erin McNulty of Ballston Spa and Teagan Storcks of Atlanta.

The duties of best man were performed by Eric Zajac of Virginia Beach, Va.

Also participating was the groom’s sister, Vanessa Gemma Ferranto of Boston.

A graduate of the State University of New York with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and dietetics, the bride is a pharmaceutical sales representative with Astra-Zeneca Pharmaceuticals in Springfield, Mass.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and information science at Kent State University and is a sales representative with Astra-Zeneca in Hartford, Conn.

The couple live in Manchester.
