TALIESIN: Frank Lloyd Wright’s 600-acre estate. 5607 County Road C, Spring Green, Wis.; www.taliesinpreservation.org or (877) 588-7900. Open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily from May 1 to Oct. 31. Five tours are offered, ranging in price from $16 to $80, with a $10 discount if you take both the House and Hillside tours. The combination allows visitors to see Wright’s home and the architecture school.

GETTING THERE: Taliesin is an hour from Madison, 2.5 hours from Milwaukee, 3.5 hours from Chicago, and 4.5 hours from Minneapolis.
