Dinner party is celebration of Fanelli 50th

• POLAND — Family members and friends attended a dinner party Sept. 13 at Scacchetti’s Italian Steakhouse, where Mr. and Mrs. Don Fanelli Sr. of Poland, formerly of Struthers, were honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Hosts for the festivities were the couple’s children and their spouses, Don and Beth Fanelli of Key Largo, Fla., and Harry and Vickie Groner of Poland. There are three grandchildren in the family, Bethany Fanelli and Mariah and Cory Groner.

The former Rita Emanuel and Don Fanelli were united in marriage on Sept. 13, 1958, at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, where they are members.

Mrs. Fanelli was a typist in the cost department at Youngstown Sheet and Tube for several years. Mr. Fanelli served with the U.S. Air Force for four years during the Korean War. He was employed 30 years at Ohio Bell Telephone Co. prior to retiring in 1990.
