SENIOR CITIZENS


CORNERSBURG

• Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday at Blue Wolf Banquet and Catering on Tippecanoe Road, with Alice Schwartz presiding. Dinner will be served at a cost of $11.50.

The senior singing group The Noteables will perform. Greeters will be Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner. Illnesses should be reported to Eleanor Zuby at (330) 799-7127.

• The Erie Mahoning Valley Railroad Association will meet at noon Tuesday at Belleria Pizzeria, 3460 S. Meridian Road, Cornersburg. Reports will be heard and birthdays will be acknowledged. All retired railroaders and their spouses are welcome.

1418 auxiliary

• 1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Oakview. John Texter will preside. Cancellations must be made by Monday to Kay Shabella at (330) 755-0459. Any call after that date will not be accepted.

SBlt Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at the conference room in Lowellville City Hall with Delores Romeo presiding. Reservations are to be made with Janet Davanzo at (330) 793-3176. Phyllis Nolfi of Gianno Catering will provide the stuffed cabbage lunch.

MARTHA LUPSE

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. • Retired Registered Nurses will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road. Guest speaker will be Shirley Griffin, with the skit “Nothing to Wear.” Refreshments will be served afterward. All area retired RNs are welcome.

ST. CHRISTINE’S

• St. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Parish Center. President Ruth Infante will preside. Luncheon hostesses will be Mary Rita Durkin, Rosemary Cervone, Helen Greiner, Irene Hlasta and Verna Dues. Reports will be given by Mary Jo Theis and Carol McClain. October birthdays will be recognized, and there will be attendance prizes, a 50-50 raffle, cards and bingo.
