60th anniversary to be celebrated by Mr., Mrs. Smith

• YOUNGSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Levy Smith of Youngstown will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 9.

Mrs. Smith, the former Eloise Seever, and Mr. Smith were united in marriage on that date in 1948 at Price Memorial AME Zion Church, where she is a member.

The couple are the parents of Camilla Smith of Euclid. Another daughter, Valerie Smith, is deceased.

Mr. Smith served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II. He was employed for 32 years with Youngstown Sheet and Tube prior to retiring in 1978. He is a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
