Niles residents arrested on drug charges released on bond

NILES — Two Niles residents have been released on bond today after a drug raid at their home that uncovered a marijuana growing site.

The work of an eight-month investigation into suspicious activity at the home of Melenie Fogle, 33, and Ian Price, 37, came to a close Thursday when police discovered two in-home growing operations, a large quantity of processed marijuana, LSD, prescription drugs and around $10,000 in cash at their home at 125 Morse St.

In Niles Municipal Court, Fogle and Price each posted a $7,500 bond. Both have each been charged with one count of trafficking in marijuana, one count of possessing a Schedule I drug in bulk, and one count of possessing a Schedule I drug that’s greater than five times the bulk amount.

They are scheduled to return to court Oct. 6 for a preliminary hearing.
