Luncheon, style show scheduled by BPW

SALEM — Columbiana Area Business and Professional Women will celebrate National Business Women’s Week by presenting “A Parisian Affair” luncheon and style show beginning at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 4 at Salem Golf Club.

There will be a Chinese auction to benefit the club’s education/scholarship fund, and a silent auction and 50-50 raffle to benefit the Christina House Domestic Violence Shelter. Items for the auctions have been contributed by area businesses, and fashions will be by Peebles of Salem. Also featured will be a vendors’ fair.

The BPW will meet at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at Columbiana Public Library for a viewing of the HBO film “Iron Jawed Angels.” Seating is limited. The club is also sponsoring a “Women to Work” clothing drive to benefit the Beatitude House. Donations will be accepted Oct. 21 in the lobby of Main Street Theater in Columbiana.
