Benefit at Blue Iris raises $3,400 for Rich Center
WARREN — A benefit art show for the Rich Center for Autism at Youngstown State University took place Sept. 20 at the Blue Iris Cafe downtown. Featured attractions were the artworks from the kids at the center; artworks from Mauro A. DiVieste; and a silent auction of signed items from boxing champion Kelly Pavlik, including gloves, a picture and a T-shirt.
The Blue Iris donated food for the event as well as the location. Among the 100 people who attended were Trumbull County commissioners Dan Polivka, Paul Heltzel and Frank Fuda. Also present was Warren Mayor Michael O’Brien, who purchased two artworks. In three hours’ time, the benefit raised $3,400 for the Rich Center.
