Waterline relocation to affect customers

The Ohio Department of Transportation will be relocating a waterline on Tippecanoe Road as a part of the U.S. Route 224/Tippecanoe Intersection Improvement Project.

Beginning at midnight tonight, water will be shut down for customers at 1499 and 1449 Boardmand-Canfield Road and 6515, 6620 and 6715 Tippecanoe Road.

It will be restored at about 6 a.m. Thursday.

On Monday, the Youngstown Water Department will install a new water isolation valve on Mahoning Avenue, near Marcia Drive.

Water will be shut off from 9 a.m. to about 2 p.m. at the following addresses: 5121, 5243, 5220, 5160 and 5202 Mahoning Ave.

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency recommends that once waterlines are restored, anyone affected by this shutdown should boil tap water for one minute before using to drink or cook.
