TMH Pink Ribbon event is Saturday

WARREN — The Trumbull Memorial Hospital Foundation Pink Ribbon Run/Walk for breast cancer awareness is at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at TMH. October is breast cancer awareness month. This year’s event features a 5K and 1 mile run/walk. Proceeds benefit University Hospitals Ireland Cancer Center at TMH. The Run/Walk begins at the bridge of TMH on East Market Street and the route is through residential areas near the hospital. Entry fees for the run/walk are $10 or $12 the day of the race.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. followed by opening ceremonies at 9 a.m. and the run/walk at 9:15 a.m. Awards will be given to the top finishers by age groups in the 5K and 1 mile races.

There are 300 participants pre-registered for this year’s event, and organizers hope the number will grow to 500 for the actual run/walk. For more information or to register please call (330) 841-1900.
