FOWLER — Beachwood Creek Farm, 2810 Sodom Hutchings Road, will be open to the public this weekend for National Alpaca Farm Days.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Tim and Anita Beaumont, owners of Beachwood Creek Farm, will welcome guests.

Activities include presentations on alpaca fiber, care and breeding of the animals and more.

Alpacas, cousins to the llama, are native to the Andes Mountains of South America. They were first imported to the United States in 1984.

TubaChristmas plans annual performances

NILES — TubaChristmas will celebrate its 10th anniversary in Trumbull County on Nov. 29 at Eastwood Mall with performances at noon and 2 p.m.

The event was founded by Teresa Kirkland, who continues to serve as coordinator.

Wes O’Conner conduct the sing-a-long Christmas concert with a guest conductor who will be named later.

Created 35 years ago by Harvey Phillips, TubaChristmas concerts will be celebrated in more than 200 cities across the country. The annual event honors the late tuba player William J. Bell.

Every Christmas season, tuba and euphonium players gather to pay respect Bell and other tuba teachers and artists.

Warren Civic Chorus seeks ‘Messiah’ singers

WARREN — The Warren Civic Chorus is looking for more voices to perform Handel’s “Messiah” in December.

Rehearsals will be at 7:30 p.m. Mondays starting Oct. 6 at Blessed Sacrament Church, corner of Reeves and North roads. Music is available for purchase at the church.
