Diabetes walk scheduled for Oct. 5

CANFIELD — Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes will start at 9 a.m. Oct. 5 at the Canfield Fairgrounds, 7265 Columbiana-Canfield Road.

The event will feature more than 500 area residents and raise money to support the American Diabetes Association.

Check in time for participants begins at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. Those participating can choose a one mile course or can do a 3.5 mile walk through the town of Canfield.

Bob Evans of Canfield will serve a complimentary light breakfast during the registration time and following the walk Pizza Joe’s will provide food for participants.
